Organic Cotton…
According to Earth Pledge, a non-profit organization (NPO) committed to promoting and supporting sustainable development, “at least 8,000 chemicals are used to turn raw materials into textiles.
and 25% of the world’s pesticides are used to grow non-organic cotton. This causes irreversible damage to people and the environment, and still two thirds of a garment’s carbon footprint will occur after it is purchased.”
Conventionally grown cotton uses approximately 1,800  gallons of water for 1 pound of non- organic cotton with disastrous consequences on the environment. Furthermore, non-organic cotton is also the cause of many irreversible health diseases among cultivators, especially allergies.

We are at our highest potential as people. Fashion is always being a manifestation of cultural thought, a creative outlet of visionary artists and in the most truthful of version, fashion is the wallpaper of our souls.

Different certification organizations verify organic productions. In addition, organic growth regulations prohibit the use of genetically engineered seed for organic farming. Organic farming practices cultivate and enrich the land.

the Love Spell…

“Love from above shine here   below. Love of soul let her be whole.
Love in spirit be empty of all
. Love infinite be he adored. Let love on earth be poured
. Let fear in her soul flee its hold.
May the Joy of love never be here untold”

Art’s Magic is engaged in fair trade and adopts the following principles:

  • Work in priority with the manufacturers amongst the most underprivileged labourers. Create long-term partnerships with producers.  Collaborate with partners who are complying with the standards…

The pesticides used on cotton harm people, wildlife, and the environment. Many of the most hazardous pesticides in the market, including broad-spectrum organophosphates and carbamate pesticides, are sprayed on cotton fields. These chemicals have been linked to certain cancers, childhood brain tumors, ADHD, autism, and poor motor skills in children, making it harder for them to use scissors, tie shoes, or even hold a pencil.

  • The ILO (International Labor Organisation) and engaged in improving their social and environmental policies. Pay the producers a fair price guaranteeing them a decent standard of living. Use the most eco-friendly fabrics and promote new ecological fibres and processes.

Switching to organic cotton helps protect rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds from toxic chemical runoff. Organic cotton ensures your soft, caressing fabrics are grown without the use of GMO (genetically modified organisms) seeds and chemical fertilisers that create dead zones that rob fish of oxygen, too.

  • Promote sustainable development and
promote a production and distribution chain which makes good use of raw materials and energy.
  • Allocate a part of its resources for community development programs. Ensure open exchange of information for those contributing to the chain

  • Organic cotton is dyed with low-impact dyes. Non-toxic hydrogen peroxide nor the use of chlorine bleaches to pre-treat our organic fabric.
  • Organic cotton naturally wrinkles. Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen, is often used on regular cotton products to reduce wrinkling.
  • Organic cotton naturally shrinks when washed and dried, which is why our products are sized to compensate for shrinkage.
  • Organic cotton requires less processing procedures than conventional cotton and, therefore, is often more durable.
  • Organic cotton is soft to the touch, similar to other high quality cottons.
  • Not only is the growing of our cotton certified organic by SKAL International, but so  is our production facility, ensuring you get only pure, natural, organic cotton in every product you buy—better for you, better for your family, better for the environment.

Our garments are 100% Organic Cotton,

The eco-friendly status of cotton can easily be displaced once the finishing process begins, as certain companies inevitably end up bleaching or dying the fabric, creating a product that is toxic and anything but eco-friendly. Be sure to purchase organic cotton in its natural shades of cream, tan, light brown or pale green, or organic fabric that has been dyed using vegetable or natural based dyes.
Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilisers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. Third-party certification organisations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production.
Also organic cotton allows small producers to live from their work since the price of organic cotton does not depend on the global market prices. The price of organic-cotton is 20% more than conventional cotton.

The Value of the UK Fashion Industry  (British Fashion Council)

The UK fashion industry is one of the most vibrant and creative business sectors in this country. It has universal appeal and a unique DNA that has visually defined periods in time across the centuries.

Our industry is revered as a world-leader in fashion education, and we consequently produce some of the world’s most innovative designers, from John Galliano to Vivienne Westwood, and every year our talent creation schemes launch new stars on their way to global recognition. The designs shown at London Fashion Week are a catalyst for trends that are then seen via the media and retailers and eventually worn by the public. The innovation and inspiration showcased on the catwalks drive the wheels of our industry, and have been likened to Research & Development in other great industries – the absence of which would leave a stagnated sector.

Harold Tillmann CBE Chairman, British Fashion Council

Fashion directly contributes nearly £21 billion to the UK economy. It also has an indirect economic impact, in encouraging spending in other industries, of over £16 billion. That equals a total impact of £37 billion. The industry employs nearly a million people, across a wide spectrum of roles, and provides diverse opportunities for young people – a critical issue given the growing concern about employment opportunities for the next generation.

To date, the UK fashion industry has been defined by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and other bodies as purely “designer fashion”, but the sector has changed and evolved significantly in the past decade. For example, fashion retail plays an increasingly important role, with supply chain functions, such as design and sourcing, now being undertaken in-house by many retail businesses. For this reason, our definition of the UK fashion industry includes retail within its direct impact, as we believe this offers a more accurate assessment of the nature and mechanics of the current industry.

Cotton is the world’s most popular fabric. Soft and comfortable, it’s used for almost every type of clothing,. Cotton farming, however, is hard on the environment. Cotton is the most pesticide-dependent crop in the world, accounting for 25% of all pesticide use. These chemicals are taking a toll on our environment and human health as a whole.
